Canada should consider a hockey league of our own

The Edmonton Oilers have played in the Stanley Cup Finals each of the past two years鈥攁nd lost both times. It has been more than thirty years since any Canadian NHL team won hockey鈥檚 biggest prize, and while the drought could end any time, it鈥檚 time Canadians think about founding a league of our own, write Henry Mintzberg and Karl Moore in The Globe and Mail. They envision an all-Canadian league with teams in cities like Halifax, Quebec, Regina and Victoria. Smaller Canadian cities have more hockey fans than many large American cities, they argue.
