Details are below (and see flyer attached)! \n\nSession Topic: Rethinking deficit models of persons with developmental condition: Contributions and perspectives from developmental theory and r esearch.\n\nSpeaker Bio:  As members of the º£½Ç¾«Æ·ºÚÁÏ Youth Study Team\, my s tudents and I are engaged primarily in two areas of study. One is the deve lopment of attention and cognition among typically developing children\, p ersons with autism\, and persons with Down syndrome. The other area of res earch is the study of cultural identity and other predictors of academic s uccess\, social adaptation\, and emotional well-being among First Nations adolescents from northern communities.
