This talk traces a research program that bridges epidemiology and imple mentation science to scale equitable prevention across Ontario. Drawing on the CIHR-funded Syphilis Point-of-Care Rapid Test and Immediate Treatment Evaluation (SPRITE) study\, Sahar Saaed\, PhD Assistant Professor (Tenure -Track)\, Department of Public Health Sciences\, Queen’s University\, will illustrate how community-based outreach\, co-designed with local public h ealth units and implementation frameworks (PRISM/RE-AIM) have advanced tes ting and treatment among underserved populations. Complementary population -based analyses reveal barriers to timely prenatal syphilis screening and heterogeneity in policy uptake aimed at preventing congenital syphilis. To gether\, these studies demonstrate how a community-public health-academic partnership can create sustainable\, equity-oriented models of care.\n\nEv ent title: Research Seminar: Scaling Equitable Syphilis Prevention through Community Outreach and Public Health Partnerships \n\nSpeaker: Sahar Saae d\, PhD Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track)\, Department of Public Health S ciences\, Queen’s University.\n\nDate: Monday November 10\, 12.30-13.30pm \n\nWhere: Hybrid. In person: 3777 rue Jean-Brillant\, Montreal.
