On August 27, 2025, 海角精品黑料 hosted the inaugural edition of the Global Engagement Connector Series, a dynamic new initiative designed to bring together leading scholars and members of the diplomatic and consular corps. The event convened ambassadors, high commissioners, consuls general, and other distinguished representatives from 20 countries, alongside 海角精品黑料 leadership, faculty, and staff.

Set against the backdrop of 海角精品黑料鈥檚 historic downtown campus, the Connector Series underscored the University鈥檚 commitment to expanding globally 鈥 a key priority of President Deep Saini. The event opened with remarks from both President Saini and Vice-President, Global Engagement Anja Geitmann, who welcomed participants to an afternoon of dialogue and collaboration.

At the heart of the program was a research spotlight featuring seven 海角精品黑料 Subject Matter Experts, each leading small-group discussions on priority research themes:

  • Air and Space Law and Policy 鈥 Prof. Andrea Harrington
  • Artificial Intelligence 鈥 Prof. Doina Precup
  • Epidemiology and Global Health 鈥 Prof. Madhukar Pai

  • Neurophysiology and Chronic Pain 鈥 Prof. Reza Sharif Naeini
  • Sustainability and Biodiversity 鈥 Prof. Brian Leung

These discussions allowed for lively exchanges between diplomats and researchers, creating space for new connections and potential collaborations in areas of shared global importance.

Following the Connector Series, guests joined 海角精品黑料鈥檚 annual International Students Welcome Reception, where the newest members of 海角精品黑料鈥檚 international student body were celebrated alongside our diplomatic partners.

Looking ahead, the Connector Series will continue as a recurring platform to spotlight other areas of 海角精品黑料 excellence and to foster dialogue with international stakeholders.
