The objective will involve students\, scholars\, the faculty\, civil soc iety\, and the larger public in meaningful discussions to foster theoretic al and practical engagement to advance Indigenous Peoples’ rights.  The di alogues are coordinated by ǾƷ Doctoral Candidate Luisa Castaneda-Quint ana\, in collaboration with the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralis m and the Indigenous Law Association / Association du Droit Autochtone (IL ADA). \n\nAbout the speaker\n\nAnne Nuorgam\, Sámi people\, Chair\, The Un ited Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII)\n\nAnne Nuorgam is a long-term Sámi politician and a lawyer who holds a Master of Law deg ree and is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Lapland. She has been a member of the Sámi Parliament of Finland since 2000. Ms. Nuorgam i s the Chair of Veahčanjárga Fishery.
