Her lecture\, Insect ecol ogy and evolution: drivers of dragonfly diversity\, unravels the details o f the long evolutionary history of dragonflies and damselflies\, represent ing the insect order Odonata\, who are among the earliest flying insects w ith living (extant) representatives.\n\nDr. Jessica Ware is an assistant c urator in invertebrate zoology at the American Museum of Natural History. Their research focuses on the evolution of behavioral and physiological ad aptations in insects\, with an emphasis on how these occur in Odonata (dra gonflies and damselflies) and Dictyoptera (termites\, cockroaches and mant ises). As places start to open-up\, this year's QHM offer s a renewed opportunity to come together as we begin to move past all the changes we've lived through as of late.
