First\, leveraging the added information th at distributions of genetic ancestry provide\, we infer rapid adaptation t o P. vivax malaria in humans from the islands of Cabo Verde. We describe a suite of tools that are broadly applicable to study post-admixture adapta tion. Then\, we consider the broader spectrum of malaria parasites across primates to begin to ask why some impact human evolution and disease burde n more than others. To do this\, we will first need new population-genetic simulation methods to interpret patterns of variation in malaria parasite s given their complex lifecycles. \n\nSeminar CAMBAM Seminar Series\n Zoom - Veuillez contacter / Please contact coordinator.qls [at] mcgill.ca\n\nht tps://www.mcgill.ca/qls/seminars\n DTSTART:20220927T160000Z DTEND:20220927T170000Z SUMMARY:Amy Goldberg\, Duke University URL:/mathstat/channels/event/amy-goldberg-duke-univers ity-341783 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
