Biography:

Dr. Sant'Anna is a neonatologist at Montreal 颁丑颈濒诲谤别苍鈥檚 Hospital and a senior scientist at the Research Institute of the 海角精品黑料 Health Centre (RI-MUHC). His research focuses on the use of wireless technologies for continuous monitoring of vital signs in neonates and strategies to optimize respiratory support, aiming to set new standards in neonatal care.

He is the principal investigator for the Smart Hospital Project (SHP), launched in 2021 with funding from the Montreal 颁丑颈濒诲谤别苍鈥檚 Hospital Foundation and supported by the RI-MUHC. The SHP seeks to implement new technologies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and the whole children鈥檚 hospital. His work also explores respiratory control in premature infants, identifying critical parameters for successful extubation, and the use of hypothermia in treating intrapartum asphyxia and predicting brain injuries.

Dr. Sant'Anna has over 104 peer-reviewed publications, contributions to more than 12 book chapters, and has delivered over 112 presentations at international conferences. He serves on the editorial boards of Pediatric Research, European Journal of Pediatrics, 颁丑颈濒诲谤别苍鈥檚 and Journal of Perinatal and Neonatal Medicine. He also help coordinates the International Observership Program at MUHC, promoting global collaborations in neonatal medicine. Additionally, Dr. Sant'Anna is an international director for neonatal-perinatal medicine conferences in Brazil and has served as the director of the 海角精品黑料 Neonatal Conference Day for over a decade.
