Jan Cooper is an Assistant Professor in the Department of聽Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health. She is also the Director of the聽Master of Science in Public Health (MScPH) Program. She聽uses experimental and quasi-experimental methods to evaluate health policy and health system reforms aimed at improving population health outcomes. She focuses on improving maternal and newborn health outcomes in low- and middle-income countries, which includes work at the intersection of poverty alleviation, women鈥檚 empowerment, and health policy reforms.
