Alumni Ambassadors

The MMA Ambassadors are a group of alumni representatives from º£½Ç¾«Æ·ºÚÁÏ’s Master of Management in Analytics (MMA) program. They act as connectors, mentors, and organizers who help bridge the gap between students, alumni, faculty, and industry. Their role is both representational - serving as faces of the MMA program in professional and academic settings, and operational - helping to organize events, initiatives, and student engagement activities.

The MMA Ambassadors serve as stewards of the program’s brand and community, helping students, alumni, and faculty connect while building visibility in industry. They play a practical role in organizing activities and a symbolic role in representing the program’s excellence

Before starting the MMA, the idea of using Python to dig into data felt intimidating. Being part of the MMA Online cohort also taught me how to build meaningful connections in a global, virtual setting. Summer 2025 (Montreal)

Towards the end of May, the MMA community reunited at the Donald E. Armstrong Building - home base of the MMA program, for our flagship Summer Alumni Event. Alumni, faculty, industry leaders, online cohorts, and even a few eager incoming MMA students came together for an inclusive evening of connection and celebration. A highlight of the night was a heartfelt tribute to Professors Shoeb Hosain and Mehmet Gumus, recognizing their foundational leadership and lasting impact on the program.

Spring 2025 (Toronto)

Our annual Toronto Alumni Networking Event returned in April at the spectacular NBA Courtside Restaurant in downtown Toronto. This year’s edition drew an exceptional crowd of alumni, students, faculty, and industry professionals - over 28% of attendees even traveled from outside the city, including one from Europe. The evening embodied everything the MMA community stands for: genuine connection, career insights, and cross-cohort collaboration, reinforcing the global reach of the network.

We returned to the iconic º£½Ç¾«Æ·ºÚÁÏ Faculty Club for our annual Montreal Summer Alumni event this time around and it was our largest gathering yet; with over 100+ attendees spanning all MMA generations (including the newly minted MMA-Online 1 cohort). This event not only provided an occasion for alumni, industry professionals, students and professors to meet, reconnect and nurture their professional relationships, but evidently highlights the vibrancy and interconnectedness of our ever growing MMA community!

Following our much-anticipated summer reunion in 2022, our second MMA alumni event was held at an upscale and classy venue where over 70 attendees reconnected with old MMA companions, esteemed professors, and program affiliates. As summer arrived and COVID restrictions eased, the MMA program and its Ambassadors hosted our first-ever multi-cohort networking event. Over 40 MMA graduates both from recent and older cohorts, gathered for the first time in person on campus. It was a chance for those whose convocations were delayed by the pandemic to catch up and connect over life after graduation.
